Sonographer Pal

Sonographer Pal is a digital learning platform designed to support sonography students, practicing sonographers, and ultrasound educators as they prepare for ultrasound credentialing exams and strengthen their clinical knowledge in diagnostic medical sonography. The platform provides structured learning resources covering major areas of diagnostic medical sonography, including: • Ultrasound physics and SPI exam preparation • Abdominal sonography • OB/GYN ultrasound • Vascular ultrasound These subject areas align with topics commonly tested on credentialing examinations offered by ARDMS®, ARRT®, and CCI®. The initiative began in 2021 as an educational social media page created by registered sonographer and educator Joey Luna. Originally built to share practical sonography knowledge with the ultrasound community, the project quickly grew as students, practicing sonographers, and educators began using the content to review important concepts and prepare for credentialing exams. Drawing on years of experience in sonography education and clinical practice, Sonographer Pal evolved into a structured digital learning platform designed to support exam preparation and ongoing professional development. Today, the platform includes a growing library of digital learning resources designed to help users review core ultrasound concepts and prepare for credentialing exams, including those offered by ARDMS®, ARRT®, and CCI®. Many learners use Sonographer Pal as part of their SPI exam prep while studying ultrasound physics and other foundational principles of diagnostic medical sonography. Educational resources within the platform include: • Ultrasound study guides • Board-style practice questions • Interactive flashcards • Audio learning resources for on-the-go study These tools help learners reinforce foundational knowledge, review important ultrasound concepts, and strengthen exam readiness. The Sonographer Pal team includes ARDMS®, ARRT®, and CCI®-registered sonographers along with board-certified physicians who contribute clinical and educational expertise to the platform’s peer-reviewed learning materials. Today, Sonographer Pal is used by sonography students, practicing sonographers, and ultrasound educators across multiple countries as a resource for structured learning, exam preparation, and professional development within the medical imaging community.
