Odour Collect

OdourCollect is the app for reporting your odor complaints. Use the power of your nose: Smell and share! Frequent exposure to odors can cause headaches, stress, lack of concentration, or respiratory problems, thus reducing your quality of life. Although odor complaints are one of the main environmental problems in the EU, there is no specific regulation to control the issue, which means that citizens are powerless! The project was developed within the framework of MYGEOSS, a two-year European project (2015-2016) funded by the European Commission to develop smart applications based on GEOSS (Global Earth Observation System of Systems) that inform citizens about changes affecting their local environment. OdourCollect is one of 13 winners from 15 European countries in the third open call of MYGEOSS for innovative apps. We need you to make the project a success! OdourCollect software is released under the GPLv3 (GNU General Public License version 3) license on GitHub. The collected data is open data published under the EUPL license and is available for download here. The project's Data Management Plan is available here. And the final project report for MyGeoss is available here. For more information or to report an area with odor complaints, please contact us at [email protected].
