FriendMap

About FriendMap

FriendMap now has a full Messages tab — one-to-one and group chats. • Voice notes: hold to record, slide to cancel, waveform playback • Photos, videos and documents, with a viewer you can zoom, save and share • Link previews • Edit, delete, forward or copy a message • Delivery and read receipts, typing indicators, and who is online • Search inside a conversation • @mentions, pinned messages, mute, pin and archive • Drafts are kept per conversation, so a half-typed message is never lost Explore the map and earn it back. The map starts under fog. Every street you travel clears it. • The Atlas — a night map of everywhere you have been • Badges for the cities, countries and states you reach, streets and distance • Coverage percentages where we have the road data, starting with Montreal and Baghdad • Progression that unlocks features as you explore • Choose an aura colour as you level up • Your achievements show on your profile, and on your friends' Events are now Quests. • Tap a quest straight from the map • Tickets and guest lists • "Take me there" hands the quest to navigation • Quest replies have their own tab, and both tabs now show a count Location sharing you can trust. • Ask a friend for a fresh location instead of waiting for one • Pins tell you how old a reading is instead of pretending it is live • Sharing survives an app restart or a phone reboot • Choose per friend whether they can see your speed and battery • Family and Besties are now one Relationship picker Also in this release • Five languages — English, Spanish, French, German and Arabic, with full right-to-left layout • Rearrange the map's button rail to suit your hand • Distances and speeds now follow the road you are on, not your phone's region • Fixed: the pickup bar kept saying "on the way" after a friend had already arrived • Fixed: My Map could hang on the loading spinner • Many stability, battery and layout fixes reported by testers
