Shelf Checkout

Scan any book's barcode and get a content analysis built from real evidence — personalized to every reader in your family. Know what's in a book before it's read. SCAN. ANALYZE. DECIDE. Point your phone at a barcode. In seconds, Shelf Checkout checks the book's content across 25 categories and gives you a clear verdict for each reader, based on the preferences you set. EVIDENCE, NOT GUESSWORK Premium checks are built from published evidence, not just inference. Every flag tells you how much evidence backs it, and analysis keeps improving in the background as more evidence is published. A VERDICT FOR EVERY READER Every family is different, and so is every reader. Set up a profile for each of your kids — and for yourself, if you're checking books for your own reading. What's fine for your 12-year-old might not be right for your 8-year-old, and Shelf Checkout gives each reader their own verdict: green, yellow, or red. 25 CONTENT CATEGORIES From violence and language to romance, death, and substance use, Shelf Checkout covers the content areas parents actually care about. You choose which categories matter to your family and how sensitive each one should be. FAMILY SHARING, END-TO-END ENCRYPTED Share one library across your family's devices — iPhone and Android both. Everyone checking books for the same family sees the same shelf and the same verdicts, kept private with end-to-end encryption. SERIES AWARENESS Reading a series? Shelf Checkout knows. When content changes between books (and it often does), you'll see exactly what shifts from one book to the next. No surprises halfway through a series. BUILD YOUR LIBRARY Save books you've checked. Track what's approved, what's saved for later, and what you've passed on. Your library stays organized and searchable. BATCH SCANNING At the bookstore or library? Quickly scan 20 books in minutes. Check an entire shelf before your kids start reading. HOW IT WORKS 1. Create a profile for each reader — your kids, or yourself — with your content preferences 2.
