About Vivarium Room Logs
A simple, reliable way to manage daily room logs in animal research facilities. Vivarium Room Log replaces paper logs with an easy to use digital system designed for technicians, supervisors, and facility managers. Scan a room, complete required checks, and stay compliant without slowing down your workflow. Key Features QR code scanning for quick room access Digital AM and PM checks Activity logs grouped by task frequency Automatic timestamps and user identification Task reminders and overdue alerts Supervisor review and audit tracking Works offline and syncs when connected Built for Vivariums The app is designed around how animal facilities actually operate. Technicians can move room to room without searching menus, while supervisors get a clear view of what has been completed and what needs attention. Compliance Ready All entries are tracked with full history and user attribution to support GLP and inspection requirements.
What’s new
Version 5.0 · Updated October 22, 2026
Weekend paperwork, room status, and sign-in improvements. • Weekend paperwork import: room-specific comments from your weekend staffing sheet now appear on each room's Weekend Log as clear, read-only notes, and the technician on the sheet is assigned to those rooms for Saturday and Sunday. A saving indicator shows while the import runs. • Tasks by Account Type: new in Manage. Pick an account type, choose a date, and see which tasks that role completed, missed, or still has open. Each task shows whether it is daily, weekly, or weekdays. • Room Status Management is now a read-only overview built from your Room Types. See each room's type, species for animal rooms, and which rooms are inactive. Tap any room to open its details and make changes there. Long room names no longer get cut off. • Changing a room's type now clears the logs from its old type, so a room converted from storage regular room (or back) no longer keeps its old Activity Log. • Bug fixes and performance improvements.
