About Paranoia: Party Questions Game
Someone reads a secret question. They say a name out loud. Yours. Now the Vault decides: does the question stay hidden for good, or does the whole room find out why they picked you? That is Paranoia, the party game where everyone hears the name and nobody knows the question. HOW A ROUND WORKS • One player privately reads a question. "Who secretly thinks they are better than everyone here?" • They name whoever fits it best. Everyone hears the name. Only the Reader knows why. • Then the Vault opens… or it doesn't. RED: the question is revealed to the whole room. GREEN: it stays buried, and the named player has to live with not knowing. One question. One name. One vault. That is all it takes, and the room does the rest. TOO RISKY? TAKE THE FORFEIT Would rather not answer? Take a forfeit instead. Two cards are dealt face down and you turn one over: Confess, Dare, Hot Seat, Curse, the room's Verdict, or a Gamble where you roll the die, flip the coin or find the ace. Hundreds of forfeits, and some follow you into your next turn. THE JOKER CHANGES THE RULES Secret votes, deck picks, countdown timers, double answers and witnesses. A Joker can land on any turn, and a round can turn very quickly. SHOWDOWN: THE MOST BRUTAL QUESTIONS IN PARANOIA When every player in the room has Pro, the room becomes a Full House. The lobby turns gold and the game deals Showdown: the most personal questions Paranoia has ever asked. The secrets, the money, the exes and the group itself. You won't find them in any other deck, and you can't buy them on their own. Only a Full House plays them. PLAY TOGETHER, YOUR WAY • ONE PHONE: pass one iPhone or iPad around the group and read your question in secret. • OWN PHONES, the best way to play: everyone joins on their own device with a room code or QR scan, around the same table or miles apart, and your question never leaves your screen. • Running late? Join an OWN PHONES game already in progress and play from the next round. • 2 to 20 players. With just two of you, Inner Circle lets you name anyone you both know. • Invite the group chat straight from Messages, or send them a question to argue about. HUNDREDS OF QUESTIONS Hundreds of questions are included, with intensity levels so you decide what kind of night you're having. Start easy, turn things up, or mix everything together. New questions arrive every month, and a seasonal deck lands for Halloween, Christmas and New Year's, Valentine's and summer. THE NIGHT ENDS WITH A VERDICT When the game is over, Paranoia hands out the awards: who was named the most, who never found out what was said about them, which two players could not stop picking each other. Every player gets a title for the night, and the room gets a few questions to settle before anyone goes home. PLAY IN YOUR LANGUAGE English, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, German, French, Italian, Turkish, Thai, Vietnamese and Traditional Chinese, with every question written for each language, not just translated. Switch any time with the flag button. MADE FOR IPHONE AND IPAD Every screen is laid out for both, with Game Center achievements to unlock as you play. Accessibility support includes VoiceOver, Voice Control, larger text, Reduce Motion and Photosensitivity Safe Mode. WANT MORE? Paranoia Pro unlocks deeper ways to play and more control over each session, and it's your card for a Full House: when everyone in the room has Pro, the room plays Showdown. Pro also goes gold: an exclusive gold app icon, a gold vault when you read and a gold crown everyone in your room sees. Ten optional themed decks add new questions for different groups and occasions. Unlock them one at a time, or get everything with the Ultimate Bundle. OWN PHONES rooms include report and block controls. How badly do you want to know why?
What’s new
Version 2.3 · Updated October 19, 2026
• ONE PHONE or OWN PHONES: the two ways to play are now named for what you hold. Tap ONE PHONE and Paranoia suggests OWN PHONES first, the best way to play. • In OWN PHONES rooms, everyone reads the cards in their own language. • TOGETHER or REMOTE: tell the room where everyone is, and the cards fit. • Need a minute? STEP AWAY keeps your seat and RETURN TO ROOM gets you straight back in. Everyone sees who has left, stepped away or come back. • Faster reconnects when your signal drops. • Fixed: the Verdict shows who really guessed, and WAITING FOR names the right player. • Smoother grammar and sharper translations in every language. • Better VoiceOver labels in OWN PHONES rooms and across the decks. One question. One name. Will the secret stay buried?
