Detour Buddy searches nearby places and ranks them with short, human-readable “why” lines. Tap Maps for directions, or open the web to learn more. Designed for real-life moments when you want a small win, not a big plan. Why Detour Buddy feels different Detour Buddy doesn’t just dump map results. It applies lightweight curation so the list stays useful: Time-aware results: Places are ranked by how quickly you can get there. Variety: The app avoids flooding the list with the same type of place. Quality signals: For food and drink, obvious chains and low-signal retail are downranked. Two quality modes: Anything shows a broad set of nearby options. Best applies stricter filtering for higher-quality picks (Pro).
