SteelOps

SteelOps is the field toolkit for crane operators, riggers, and ironworkers. It is built around the thing that runs your day: the weather. WEATHER INTELLIGENCE FOR THE JOB SITE • Live precipitation radar for the US and Canada (NOAA and Environment Canada feeds) with animated playback, plus short-term forecast frames on US radar, clearly marked • Honest radar: the map tells you when your site has no radar coverage instead of showing a blank map that reads as clear skies • Frost & Condensation chart that works out your steel's temperature hour by hour from sky, wind, sun, and steel thickness, with frost, fog, and freezing-fog warnings • Hourly and multi-day forecasts that compare three weather models (GEM, ECMWF, and GFS) and show how well they agree • Environment Canada weather alerts for your location • Forecast Accuracy: see how right the forecast has been at your own site WIND TOOLS BUILT FOR CRANE WORK • Wind Direction Visualizer: see wind direction and speed relative to your setup, not just a number on a forecast • Vertical Wind Risk System (VWRS): wind doesn't blow the same at 100 ft as it does on the ground. VWRS rates wind risk at height so you can judge the lift, not guess it • Tap any forecast hour for a wind profile chart by height, plus what airport and Environment Canada forecasters expect • Wind load calculator with maximum permissible wind speed results • Gust tracking and configurable personal wind limits LIFT PLANNER • Pick a crane, set boom length, angle, and load, and get an instant in-chart verdict with utilization • Interactive side-elevation diagram with building-clearance check • Build your crane chart library by hand or by scanning printed load charts with the camera (every scan goes through a mandatory review step) • Share crane configurations between devices LIFT CALCULATOR • Net load plus rigging and deductions gives gross load, with a percent-of-chart gauge • Save your rigging weights once and add them to any lift LIFT LOG • Log every lift with load details, rigging, photos, and notes • Auto-fill from your photo library • Your professional lift history, searchable and exportable CRANE QUICK REFERENCES • Fast access to the specs and reference data you reach for in the cab • Crane utilization timer with pre-trip, travel, post-trip, and mob/demob categories AR MEASUREMENT SUITE • Measure heights, distances, and elevations with your camera • Sling angle finder: check angles on real rigging through the lens • Plumb and level checks on any flat surface RIGGING LIBRARIES & CALCULATORS • Sling angle, load weight, and rigging capacity calculators • Equipment reference libraries for slings, shackles, and hardware GPS RANGE SURVEY • Walk a site and capture distances and positions with GPS BUILT FOR THE FIELD • Offline-first: logs, references, calculators, and the lift planner work with no cell service. Everything syncs when you're back in coverage • Sign in with Apple, Google, or email • High-contrast, glove-friendly interface designed for bright sunlight • Your data backs up securely to your account, and comes back on a new phone STEELOPS PRO Some advanced features require a SteelOps Pro subscription (monthly or yearly, auto-renewing). Payment is charged to your Apple Account; subscriptions renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the period. Manage or cancel in your Apple Account settings.
