Sunwise: UV Index & Sunburn

Sunwise is your personal sun-safety companion. It turns the daily UV forecast into clear, tailored guidance so you know exactly when to seek shade, reapply sunscreen, or head outside with confidence. Built on Apple WeatherKit and designed for iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. HOURLY AND DAILY UV FORECASTS See the UV index hour by hour and get a multi-day outlook for any location. A detailed line chart shows how exposure rises and falls throughout the day, so you can plan around the hours that matter. PERSONALIZED BURN TIME Add your skin tone and how easily you burn. Sunwise estimates how long you can safely stay outside at the current UV level, helping you decide when it is time to cool down, cover up, or reapply sunscreen. MORNING UV ALERT On days the UV index reaches 6 (High) or more, Sunwise sends a notification at the time you choose with when UV peaks and when to protect your skin. Set it for your current location or one of your saved places. SMART FORECAST SUMMARY Get a plain-English summary of your day’s sun exposure generated on-device with Apple Intelligence. Private, fast, and tailored to your skin profile. SUN EVENTS One glance for sunrise, sunset, solar noon, peak UV time, and today’s safe hours. MULTIPLE LOCATIONS Track home, work, the cottage, and your next holiday. Sunwise remembers your places and keeps each forecast updated. HOME SCREEN AND LOCK SCREEN WIDGETS Pin widgets for Current UV, Burn Time, Hourly UV, and the Daily Outlook anywhere on iOS. Background refresh helps keep your information current all day. APPLE WATCH APP AND COMPLICATIONS Check your forecast on your wrist, with complications that show UV index and burn time directly on your watch face. SIRI AND SHORTCUTS Ask Siri “What’s the UV?”, “When’s peak UV today?”, or “Do I need sunscreen?” for an instant answer. Create routines with App Intents. iPad AND iPhone Duo View your places beside a full-screen forecast on iPad and on iPhone Duo's inner display. In the book pose, the forecast splits along the fold, and Sunwise keeps your place as you fold and unfold. It works in landscape on every iPhone too. DESIGNED FOR PRIVACY Sunwise uses Apple WeatherKit and on-device intelligence. Your saved locations and skin profile stay on your devices.
