About Lahja: Arabic Dialects

Learn Arabic the way people actually speak it. Lahja teaches 11 spoken Arabic dialects, not Modern Standard Arabic, with every word recorded by a native speaker. PICK YOUR DIALECT Moroccan Darija, Egyptian, Lebanese, Palestinian, Jordanian, Emirati, Saudi, Iraqi, Algerian, Tunisian and Libyan. Each one is its own course with its own words, its own voices and its own tips, because "how are you" is kidayr in Casablanca and izzayak in Cairo. HEAR IT FROM A LOCAL No robot voices. Every phrase is spoken by someone from that country, so you learn the real sound, not a textbook version of it. Tap Listen, then say it back. FIVE MINUTES A DAY Short lessons, practice rounds and a test per section. Daily goals, streaks and achievements keep you coming back. Sections 1 to 3 are free in every dialect and stay free. LEARN WITH FRIENDS Join a league, climb the weekly leaderboard, chat with your league, and challenge friends to battles. Send a nudge, gift dinars, or save a friend who ran out of hearts. MADE FOR Heritage speakers who understand their parents but freeze when they reply. Travellers heading to Marrakech, Cairo, Beirut or Dubai. Partners and in-laws who want to join the conversation. Anyone who tried Standard Arabic and was still lost at the dinner table. LAHJA PRO Pro unlocks every section, every practice round and test, and unlimited hearts, across all 11 dialects. Try it free for 7 days. Join 15,000 learners on TikTok at @lahjaapp and start speaking your Arabic today. What’s new

Version 1.3.8 · Updated October 13, 2026

League chat grows up: react to messages with an emoji, and swipe right to reply to one. Gifts land with a moment. When a friend sends dinars, a heart or a new look, you see it arrive, and you can put a gifted look on right away. Dinar packs. Top up your dinars from the shop to spend on looks, backgrounds and power-ups. A one-time starter pack comes with an exclusive frame. A bigger shop: app backgrounds that recolour every screen, eight new avatars, four accent colours, four frames and two bundles. Reinstalling no longer changes your username. Fixes: the league rename box stays above the keyboard, and the Palestinian "come here" tip reads in full.
