What’s new
Version 2.3 · Updated September 19, 2026
Meet Sprout, your new study buddy A new little companion has joined ZucuWords. Add the widget to your Home Screen and Sprout will be there with today's word, always one glance away. Sprout's mood tells you everything at a glance: excited when you've done both today's word and a Verb Wheel spin, happy with just one, and gradually moodier through the day sleepy, then a little grumpier if you haven't practiced yet. So, practice champion league. A fresher welcome Redesigned onboarding. Each level (Beginner/Intermediate/Expert) now has its own color so they're easier to tell apart at a glance, plus some visual polish throughout. A fairer Blitz Quiz The 10-second clock now starts when you tap Start, so you never lose a round you didn't see. If time runs out, you'll see the answer and can try again for free. Jump straight to today's quiz A new "Today's quiz" button floats above the tab bar and shows how much time you have left. Tap it to go right to the quiz. Streaks that mean something Only correct answers now count toward your streak, on both the quiz and the Verb Wheel. Leaving the app open no longer secures your streak. The flame in the header lights up only after you've earned it. Smarter reminders Your last-call streak reminder now has a different message and time for each day of the week, so it never feels like the same alert twice. Liquid Glass on iOS 26 The tab bar, header and buttons now use Apple's new glass look on iOS 26. Polish Sprout-powered loading animations, a livelier welcome screen, and stability improvements throughout.
