Ulna - Ulnar Height Calculator

Accurately estimate patient height when standing measurement is not possible. The Ulnar Height Calculator is an essential digital reference tool designed for healthcare professionals, dietitians, nurses, and carers. It provides a quick and reliable method to estimate the height of patients who are bedridden, immobile, or unable to stand straight for conventional stadiometer measurements. By measuring the ulna length (the forearm bone from elbow to wrist) and inputting basic patient demographics, this calculator applies established medical formulas to provide an immediate height estimation. Accurate height measurement is crucial for calculating Body Mass Index (BMI), assessing nutritional status (MUST screening), and determining correct drug dosages. ***Features*** • Trusted Methodology: Utilizes recognized formulas derived from BAPEN (British Association for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition) and MUST guidelines. • Simple Input: Quickly enter Gender, Age (18-120), and Ulna Length (cm) for instant results. • Smart Validation: Built-in checks ensure input data falls within physiological ranges to prevent calculation errors. • Clear Results: Estimated height is displayed clearly in both meters and centimeters. Premium Option: This application is free to download and supported by advertisements. A "Premium Access" one-time in-app purchase is available in Settings to permanently remove all banner and interstitial ads for a distraction-free experience. Medical Disclaimer: This app is intended as a reference tool for use by qualified healthcare professionals for educational and screening purposes only. It is not a diagnostic device and should not replace professional clinical judgment. While based on established guidelines, results are estimates.
