About Tahltan Central Government
Tahltan Central Government uses this app to share news and opportunities across Tahltan Territory in northwestern British Columbia, from Dease Lake to Iskut and Telegraph Creek. Anyone may download it for free. Opportunities get plenty of space. Job postings and calls for contractors, like snow removal and property maintenance in Dease Lake or casual work as an archaeological monitor, include deadlines and instructions for applying, and bursary announcements for students appear alongside them. The fisheries and wildlife teams post regular updates on salmon runs, field projects and the season's work on the land, along with the occasional contest, such as a call for photos for next year's fisheries calendar. Day-to-day life is here too. Monthly community calendars set out what's on, from elders' lunches to craft nights, and workshop invitations cover skills like canning and preserving. A row of tabs narrows the feed to a single kind of post, the search icon tracks down anything specific, and the heart keeps a post for later. Policy papers and newsletters open as full documents you can scroll through, and notifications make sure important notices never slip past you. Designed for iPhone and iPad.
What’s new
Version 2.93.3 · Updated October 29, 2026
What's New • Smoother Feed: Scrolling is noticeably smoother, and posts no longer repeat or change order while you scroll. • Quicker Tabs: Switching tabs and signing in reload less, so the feed appears sooner. • Highlighted Notes: Important notes in posts now stand out in a shaded box. • Easier-to-Read Links: Links in posts stay clear and readable in dark mode. • Calendar: The month arrows now stay on the month you choose. • Notifications: Tapping a notification opens its post, even right after you install the app, and new installs set up notifications more reliably. • Slow Connections: Pages load more reliably when the signal is weak. Recently added: • Community Calendar: A tab with a month and week view of everything coming up. Tap a day to see its events, open one for the time and location, and add it straight to your own calendar. • Instant Search: Find any post in seconds, with results that appear as you type. • Richer Posts: News and events support headings, bold text, lists and links. • Custom Categories: Administrators can create their own feed categories, so posts are grouped the way the community chooses. • Dark Mode: The navigation bar follows your dark mode setting.
