What’s new
Version 1.8.1 · Updated October 18, 2026
Scoops feel smoother, faster and sharper in this update. Smoother scoops • Scoops now appear all at once. Photos, text, stickers and music come in together instead of popping in one by one. • Music starts right as the scoop does, with no more lag. • Videos start playing faster, and the next scoop loads in the background so it's ready when you get there. • Video scoops now upload in sharper 1080p. Hold to pause • Holding a scoop pauses it instantly and stays paused for as long as your finger is down. • The controls fade away while you hold, so you can read or take a longer look. • Holding no longer turns into an accidental swipe up to reply. Creating scoops • Cropping a photo from your camera roll now keeps exactly the spot you chose. • Pinch to zoom now zooms in where your fingers are. • Location, link, poll and text stickers now line up with the center guide correctly, and new stickers start centered. Highlights • Reposts and videos now show a proper preview in your highlights. • "Remove from highlight" and "Delete scoop" are now separate, so it's clear what you're removing. • Expired scoops in highlights no longer take new replies. Views and activity • See when each person viewed your scoop, with the newest viewers first. • Swiping up on your own scoop now opens to Viewers. Plus other fixes, including the stories bar no longer reshuffling as you open a scoop. Thanks as always, love y'all -Grant
