About Blackout Prepper
Blackout Prepper helps you prepare for power outages and other emergencies with supplies, maps, family planning and practical offline guides. Six clear sections organize the tools, with your preparedness score right on the home screen. ALERTS & COMMUNITY • Current alerts and practical response guides. • View and report power outages or fires on the original radar. Choose countries for community push notifications. • Public chat, direct messages and groups to connect with other users. SUPPLIES & PREPAREDNESS • Manage food, drinks, preserved food, medication and other essentials across multiple pantries. • Plan drinking water and calories for people and pets; track expiration dates and reminders. • Scan product barcodes, check supplies and hold and drag entries to sort them. • Checklists, emergency bag and vehicle preparation, plus a preparedness score. • Arrange the main menu and submenus to suit your needs. FAMILY & DOCUMENTS • Family profiles with blood type, allergies, medication and an emergency contact. • Create an offline medical QR code with the information you choose to include. • Store documents and photos on your device in an AES-GCM encrypted vault with a four-digit PIN, animated safe and recovery code. • Record and share family status manually; use a simple emergency guide for kids. • Create a household emergency plan with meeting points and locations of gas, water and electricity shutoffs. MAPS & NAVIGATION • Online maps, saved offline maps and topographic maps with contour lines. • Keep both standard and topographic offline maps and switch between them. • Save map markers and explore shelter information. • GPS backtracking: record a route while the GPS view remains open, follow your way back and export GPX. Matching maps already saved on your device are used automatically. • Barometer on devices with a pressure sensor. EMERGENCY TOOLS & GUIDES • 20 offline guides and step-by-step emergencies, including outages, flooding, storms, fire, heat and evacuation. • Emergency contacts and a location-based SOS message draft you confirm before sending. • CPR metronome, Morse code and SOS signals using the screen, sound and supported flashlight. • Emergency radio frequencies and support for compatible Meshtastic LoRa radios over local Wi-Fi: send text, status and location without cellular service or internet. A properly configured external radio is required. Offline tools require the relevant content to be saved in advance. Alerts, community reports, online maps and chat need internet. Family status is not automatic live tracking. This app does not replace official warnings or emergency services. New installations include a seven-day app trial, followed by monthly or annual subscription options. Local prices appear in App Store before purchase. Existing access and previous terms are retained. Manage subscriptions through App Store. Alternatively, lifetime access is available as a one-time purchase. The local price is displayed in App Store before purchase. Questions or suggestions? Send me a private message in the app chat. I usually respond the same day. Terms of Use (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/ Privacy Policy: https://goldapps.de/datenschutz/ CONNECT FAMILY & CLOUD • Your own account with email, a password of at least eight characters and email verification. Create a family or accept an invitation. • Choose to share supplies, profiles, status, contacts, home plans, saved GPS trails and selected documents. Optional automatic sync while the app is open and online; downloaded shared content remains available offline. • Separate personal cloud backup preserves existing local data.
