Continuous use of GPS in the background may affect battery life. On Apple Watch, when Training Mode is active, the app stays open on the screen and requests access to HealthKit to display live heart rate data. Using Training Mode and continuous heart rate tracking may also impact battery life. Training Mode can be turned on or off at any time.
