Hayes Peebles

Hi, Hayes Peebles here. Welcome to my official, exclusive streaming app. To put it simply, this platform is the only place where you can listen to my music. If you want to listen to Hayes Peebles, the Hayes Peebles app is what you need and you're in the right place.

I started playing shows, recording, and releasing music at the tender age of thirteen. Having worked through the past two decades as a singer-songwriter, I can tell you that giant streaming platforms are very bad for artists like me. I also happen to believe that they're bad for art.

Even the most musician-friendly platforms siphon money away from the folks who create the stuff you're paying for. This makes it impossible for artists to make even a modest living without becoming superstars, content creators, or joining a baker's dozen of ghost bands. The result? A world with fewer musicians who have far less artistic freedom. The end result? A whole lot less good art.

There's so much more to be said about this, including a million ethical considerations, but there are so few characters remaining. Let’s talk about the app.

The app you're thinking of downloading looks, feels, and functions like the streaming apps you probably already have on your phone. You can search by song, play through full EPs and LPs, pick favorites, and create playlists. But unlike the major platforms, my entire catalogue is available, and the revenue actually makes its way to the artist. You can even learn more about my work by reading blurbs and liner notes written by yours truly.

This contraption is the manifestation of an idea and pipe dream I had a few years ago. It took a lot of time and quite a bit of help to make it a reality. It's my hope that your listening experience will be made more enjoyable by the fact that when you download this app, you're giving life to a new and alternative streaming model; one that's fair, sustainability focused, and artist owned.

One that might one day work for other artists, too. What's certain is that you're directly supporting me without pretending to need a t-shirt or tape, and you're putting much-needed money into the pockets of the brilliant players, record producers, and collaborators I simply could not do without. You're making it all possible by doing something simple: paying a little bit for recorded music.

Strange that this transaction feels revolutionary or novel, but here we are: one download away from listening to plaintive, alternative country music and saving culture in one fell swoop. Find Terms of Use (EULA) here: https://app.audiorista.com/pages/terms/4603/
