About BabbleNest: First Words

BabbleNest is a picture-card app for babies and toddlers, built around one picture and one word at a time. It holds 558 words in English, Chinese, and Spanish. Free to download, with no ads and no account. [What's Inside] 22 everyday themes and 558 words: body, family, animals nearby, wild animals, ocean animals, fruit, vegetables, food, clothes, toys, household goods, transportation, places, nature, colors, shapes, actions, emotions, alphabet, numbers, opposites, and jobs. All of it is the everyday vocabulary a toddler actually sees and points at. [How It Works] Tap any picture to hear the word. Three ways to practice: flashcards, a picture grid, and a listen-and-choose game. There's also a memory matching game. The same words keep coming back in different forms, so they stick without feeling like drilling. [Audio] Every card plays clear pronunciation the moment it's tapped, so a child can use it on their own. No adult needs to read anything aloud. [English, Chinese, and Spanish] The same 558 picture cards are ready in English, Chinese (Mandarin), and Spanish, all three with audio, so a child can tap a card and hear the word spoken. Use them to build a toddler's first words in English, to keep a home language going, or to start a second language early. French, Korean, German, and Japanese are also included. [No Ads] No pop-ups, no banners, no third-party ads. Hand over the phone or iPad and your child won't tap into anything else. [No Wi-Fi, No Account] No sign-up, no email, no internet connection needed. Everything lives inside the app, so it works offline. In the car, on a plane, or anywhere without Wi-Fi. Progress stays on the device. [Kid-Safe] A parental gate in Settings keeps small fingers out of purchases and settings. [iPhone and iPad] Both are supported, so an old iPad can become a word-learning tool. [Who It's For] Families raising a bilingual child, or hoping to start a second language early; parents who want a calm, ad-free way for their kids to build vocabulary before preschool or kindergarten; and anyone who'd rather hand over a tablet without worrying about what else is on it. Free to download. Start with whatever your child points at first.
