Noema 4.0.1 includes a small bug fix and everything introduced in 4.0: our biggest step forward on Mac, with thoughtful improvements across every Apple platform. • A native Mac project workspace brings folders, tasks, file search and editor tabs, agent activity, approval-gated edits, change review, and checkpoints into one place. Work can stay with compatible on-device models, or use remote models you configure. • Mac projects can now keep a working folder with chats, shared instructions, and sources. Noema can reconnect to an existing model library instead of asking you to download the same models again. • New approval controls make agent behavior explicit: ask before file changes, allow workspace edits while still approving commands, or keep a chat read-only. • A new Disable Noema System Prompts setting lets you send no Noema-authored system message at all—including the date, tool guidance, and app-added instructions. Custom and model-specific prompts are ignored while it is enabled. • Streaming is safer. Noema now detects responses that stop before the model reports completion, clearly asks you to retry, and refuses to run incomplete or invalid tool arguments. • iPhone and iPad receive more reliable composer and attachment behavior, including better image-picker sequencing and controls that stay anchored correctly across layouts. • Model loading and hardware detection are more dependable, with updated llama.cpp foundations, improved memory reporting on Apple silicon, and better compatibility checks for GGUF settings. • Mac relay discovery no longer repeatedly asks for Bluetooth permission when it is not needed, and 4.0 includes broad fixes and localization polish throughout chat, tools, projects, downloads, and model management.
