About Moments: Friends & Stories
Moments is a private social network where every moment still feels like yours. Share your day with the people you choose, without feeling like everything has to be perfect, public, or made for everyone to like. Photos, videos, stories, messages, places, memories, and small things that only make sense with your friends. Moments is made to feel closer: less noise, more intention, and more control over what you share. HIDDEN LAYERS Some posts hide something more. With Hidden Layers, you can add text, audio, or images inside a photo. Friends discover them by tapping the moment, and you can also schedule them to open later. A secret note. A voice. A clue. An image inside another image. Something you do not see at first, but it was always there. STORIES WITH MORE MAGIC Create stories with stickers for expression, play, and better storytelling. Including: Reveal: scratch to uncover hidden content. Polaroid: add a styled image with a caption. Audio: record voice or ambience directly into your story. PRIVACY WITHOUT MAKING IT HARD You decide who sees every moment: best friends custom audiences only me private lists comment controls hide your followers and following hide content from specific people block or mute accounts and words CHAT AND REAL CONNECTIONS Talk with friends through encrypted private messages, photos, videos, audio, and ephemeral content. Share when you feel like it, with the people you choose. NOVA, YOUR AI ASSISTANT Nova lives inside Moments to help you remember preferences, understand context, and get useful suggestions while keeping you in control. Messages with Nova are also designed to feel personal and protected. Moments is not about posting more. It is about sharing better. Download Moments and share only with the people who truly matter.
What’s new
Version 2.31 · Updated October 10, 2026
What’s new in Moments (v2.31) Moments is here on iPhone Duo! We’ve redesigned Moments to make the most of both screens. IPHONE DUO - Feed and comments side by side: keep watching the moment while you read and reply on the other screen. - Your chats, always in view: your chat list on one screen and the conversation on the other. - Explore and profiles show the grid next to the moment you open. - Create with everything at hand: your gallery and tools on one side, your photo on the other. - Use the outer screen as a viewfinder when recording stories or using the chat camera: see yourself live with the rear camera and know how long you’ve been recording. - Two-column settings and navigation designed for Duo open, closed or halfway. CHAT - Pick a background for each chat (photos, colors or themes) and the color of your bubbles. Only you see it. - Reactions with new animations and your most-used emojis close at hand. - When you reply, you see the photo, video or message you’re quoting. - Open “view once” messages straight from your chat list, without going into the conversation. - Zoom into chat photos with two fingers or a double tap. - A more comfortable actions menu, even with the keyboard open. - Messages send properly even on a poor connection. - Read messages in notifications even when your iPhone is locked. - Chats load faster. STORIES - Before you post, a new screen brings together your story’s preview and options: who sees it, whether it lasts 24 or 48 hours, and whether it allows messages, reactions and replies. - Save original audio from public stories and use it in yours from the audio sticker. You decide whether others can reuse yours. - Text and drawing tools with refreshed icons. MAPS - Refreshed navigation when you open a moment’s location. - Moments and stories grouped by place, with access to stories from the area. ALERTS AND SETTINGS - New in-app alerts: see the progress of what you’re doing and undo some actions. - Tidier settings: profile, content, messages and account, each in its place. - Easier audience list management. AND MORE - Your music keeps playing while you browse. - Fixes for Echoes, chain notifications and message requests.
