About The SUSU App: Savings Circle

Save as a group, and take turns getting paid. The SuSu App runs the savings circle your family has probably always done by hand — susu, ROSCA, esusu, tanda, or a savings club. Everyone contributes the same amount on the same schedule. Each round, one member receives the pot. When everyone has had a turn, the circle is complete. DONE BY HAND, IT'S THE ADMIN THAT KILLS IT Someone is always chasing late payers. Someone else is asking "did you pay yet?" for the third time. And one person is sitting on everyone else's savings — usually the most organised friend, who never asked to become a bank and can't prove what they're holding. The saving was never the hard part. The bookkeeping is. WHAT CHANGES The rotation is fixed and visible from day one, so nobody wonders whose turn is next. Every contribution is recorded where all members can see it, so there is one shared record instead of an argument in a group chat. And nobody holds anyone else's money — funds move account to account on schedule. HOW IT WORKS 1. Create a circle. Set the contribution amount, how often it's collected, and who's in it. 2. Invite people you trust with a private link, and approve who joins. 3. Contribute on schedule, by bank debit or debit card. Everyone can see who has paid. 4. Get your payout when it's your turn, straight to your bank account. KEY FEATURES • Clear rotation — Everyone knows the payout order from day one, and it doesn't change quietly. No favouritism, no confusion about whose turn is next. • Nobody holds the money — Funds move between accounts on schedule. No group treasurer sitting on everyone's savings. • No surprise fees — You pay exactly the contribution amount, never a cent more. Fees come out of the pot at payout, itemised in the app before it happens, so you always know what lands in your account. • Everyone sees the same thing — Who paid, who is due, when each payout happened, and the full history of the circle. • Bank-level payments — Contributions and payouts run through Stripe, a payments provider trusted by millions of businesses. Your bank details are handled by Stripe, never stored by us. • Verified members — Identity verification is required before anyone can receive a payout, so you know who you're saving with. • Pay ahead or automate — Cover several rounds in advance before you travel, or turn on auto-pay so you never miss one. • Built-in group chat — Coordinate in the same place the money lives, instead of a separate thread nobody can find. • Your history, always — Every contribution and payout, recorded and available whenever you need to check. WHO IT'S FOR Adults who already run a savings circle, or want to start one, with people they know and trust. Families saving for something together. Friends building a deposit. Colleagues running an office circle. Diaspora communities keeping a tradition that has worked for generations — with the record-keeping handled. It is not for lending to strangers, and it is not an investment. BEFORE YOU START Payouts are sent to a bank account, and identity verification is required to receive one. Contributions can be made by bank debit or debit card. The minimum contribution is $20 per member, per round. Everyone in a circle must be in the same country, since payouts don't cross borders. Payouts are sent once the round's contributions have cleared, which usually takes a couple of business days. The SuSu App is a tool for running your own savings circle. It is not a bank, it does not hold your money, and it does not provide financial advice.

What’s new

Version 1.0.5 · Updated October 15, 2026

• Getting verified is quicker. Stripe's form now opens right in the app, with no separate Stripe sign-in or text code. • Changing your payout bank is simpler too. • Payments no longer show as "Settling" after they've cleared. • Fixed an issue that could stop your first request to join a circle.
