About SkimmIQ – 3D Cube Reinvented
Meet SkimmIQ - the cube puzzle that looks familiar, then breaks your expectations. No fixed centers. No fixed edges. No fixed corners. You do not rotate classic layers. You slide complete color tapes around the cube along three axes. If the classic cube is chess, SkimmIQ is chess with gravity turned off. SkimmIQ is both a puzzle game and a compact lab for creating, exploring, sharing, replaying, and studying new cube-like patterns. NEW: PATTERN STUDIO Create your own valid SkimmIQ patterns directly on the 3D cube: - Start with an empty design or restore the current state - Choose a color and place stickers one by one - Rotate and zoom the cube while you work - Track how many stickers of each color remain - Apply a completed pattern directly to the puzzle - Explore supported patterns with solver and Path tools - Record, replay, and share your creations through SkimmIQ Lab Create a pattern, explore a route, and publish the result as a single shareable link. SKIMMIQ LAB SkimmIQ Lab gives you tools for states and replay sequences: - Import shared SkimmIQ links directly into the app - Open a shared state or a complete replay - Record your own moves, including solver Path playback - Replay sequences step by step - Export a state or replay as a shareable link - Copy links, open web previews, and share them with friends or puzzle communities Shared links also work on the web. SkimmIQ tools let you create states, edit and reverse move sequences, preview replays, and build visual share pages. WHY THIS MATTERS AI solvers can solve supported SkimmIQ layouts very effectively. Human players have also documented two approaches: The Bear Method and Fred’s related layer-by-layer and commutator method. Explore, reproduce, and refine these methods, or develop your own. SkimmIQ Lab and Pattern Studio help players experiment, share patterns, compare ideas, and search for understandable algorithms - the kind of breakthrough that made classic cube-solving culture so fascinating. SOLVER TOOLS When you get stuck, supported layouts can use solver assistance: - Analyze the current cube state - Find a legal path back to solved - Preview the solution with Path playback - Improve IDEA hints when the solver finds a useful route - Use AI-assisted solvers on the hardest supported layouts AI-assisted solvers were tested on thousands of benchmark scrambles across supported hard layouts, with 100% success in our tests. WHY SKIMMIQ IS DIFFERENT - Tape-based mechanics with genuinely new movement logic - Surface-following animation that makes every move easy to read - Patterns that can change across the whole cube in a single move - Intuitive controls: swipe a sticker to move a tape, drag outside the cube to rotate the scene, and pinch to zoom - Long press to peek inside the cube - Long press outside the cube to recall the solved state - Undo, Redo, and IDEA hints - Solver and Path tools for supported layouts - Scramble presets plus Custom Scramble - Multiple layouts from beginner-friendly to advanced - Different color sets for easier starts or harder challenges - Practice mode for learning - Competition mode for rewards and leaderboard runs BUILT FOR - Puzzle fans who want something new - Cube lovers looking for a fresh challenge - Logic and spatial-thinking players - Pattern creators and experimenters - Curious players who want to help test and refine human solving methods FREE TO PLAY, WITH OPTIONAL UPGRADES - Weekly subscription - One-time lifetime unlock Both remove ads and unlock premium features. Think you've mastered cube puzzles? Perfect. Now create something new - and help refine how humans solve it. Terms of Use (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
