About Philakolouthos

This release brings a set of meaningful improvements focused on map reliability, search relevance, church program clarity, and local notifications. Updated map integration The app now uses the latest map configuration to improve stability and location-based functionality, delivering a smoother experience when exploring churches and nearby events. Improved search results Search logic has been refined to provide more accurate and relevant results, making it easier to find churches, feast-related content, and activities with fewer missed matches. Better organization of church schedules Church programs are now separated into office services and general activities for clearer reading. Events are also presented in a more structured date-based format for improved readability and usability. Improved access to feast documentation Feast-related PDF content is now more accessible and easier to read, helping users stay informed about church celebrations and events. New local notification feature The app now includes a local notification system to keep users informed about relevant church activities and reminders. Notifications are managed directly on the device by the application itself. Privacy and Data Handling The notification system operates entirely on the user’s device and does not rely on external storage or processing. No personal data is transmitted to or processed by a third-party backend, and no Firebase or external server-side processing is used for this feature. This ensures that the notification functionality remains local to the app and fully consistent with privacy-conscious data handling practices.
