Highlights - Chat can now display a background photo when a photo for that location is available. - You can now attribute sources for adapted and public works. - When you Investigate a Story, you can now start a new Life or add the Story to one you already have, then pick the role you'll play. - Creators now retain control over structural bonds between characters, even if they’re remixable. - Your Circle now keeps both how each Character is connected to you and how they feel about you. - When you start a new Life with a Story you picked, that Story now starts getting ready right away instead of quietly waiting in the background. - World covers and Character portraits can now play subtle animations. Quality of Life - Character pages now have separate Profile and Circle sections and show a Remixable badge. World names on Character and Story pages are now clearer links. This would fold into the existing "more detail" line. - Cleaned up some old unused fields, renamed some others. - Coach suggestions you haven't accepted yet now stick around when you switch chats or step away. - The Story editor now shows question-style prompts and tips for each field. - Relaxed the naming requirements for nongendered Characters. - Editing a relationship now has separate steps for the connection (like sibling or coworker) and the dynamic between you, instead of one combined editor. - Family bonds like step-parent, step-sibling, and in-law are now gender-neutral options. Bonds you already saved still load and show correctly. Bug Fixes - Photos generated within a Scene no longer time out and should remain visible if you re-open the app. - When you ask Coach for a specific Circle bond, its suggestion keeps that bond instead of falling back to "acquaintance." Accepting a Circle suggestion now applies right away, without deciding every other card first. - Scenes that got stuck after a server restart now recover on their own and continue. - Accepting a new portrait, for a Character or for yourself, no longer fails with a "not found" error, portraits stuck generating now recover on their own, and if accepting does fail, the message explains why more clearly. - Draft photos in the World library now show up correctly. - Catalog portraits and covers now stay on their preview until the full image is ready, then switch over once, instead of restarting the load. - Autosave no longer changes what you're in the middle of editing, and accepting Coach edits no longer gets held up while Coach tries to publish. - Saving connections between places, like portals, works again. - Starting a Life from a Story no longer fails with an unknown Circle seat error. - Encounter openings now use the right Characters and pronouns. - Scenes now stay consistent about which Characters are physically present, including Characters who were summoned or stepped away, and reuse existing Characters before making up new extras. - Saving a Story draft no longer fails after you reopen the editor. - Community Characters already in a Scene can now be found and referenced correctly. - Characters in a Story keep their identities more reliably as the Scene goes on.
