About Sara: Speech Practice for kid

Sara is an app for daily speech sound practice at home. A session runs five to ten minutes. Sara listens to each word your child says, marks it correct or incorrect, gives a hint when one is needed, and keeps track of how every sound is coming along. Sara was built with speech-language pathologists, AI engineers and designers, some of whom grew up with their own speech challenges. It is made for parents and caregivers practicing with their own child. WHAT SARA COVERS 23 sounds, including R, S, Z, L, SH, CH, K, G and TH both voiced and voiceless. Practice runs on words targets. A PRACTICE SESSION Pick a sound, the kind of practice and how long it should run. Sara checks the microphone and the room noise before you start, then works through the words with your child. There are word drills and minimal-pair practice, with Sara listening to every word, and reward games at the end. Child Mode keeps your child in the session, and a grown-up check is needed to leave. WHAT YOU SEE The home screen shows practice days this week, words practiced, recent scores and a progress chart. After each session you get a report listing every word, which ones needed a hint, and how each sound is coming along. You can set practice reminders for the days you choose, and add more than one child to a family. WORKING WITH YOUR CHILD'S SLP If your child works with a speech-language pathologist who uses Sara for SLP, you can connect the two with an invite code. Homework and notes come to you, and what your child practices at home goes back to them. Both apps also work on their own. SUBSCRIPTION The practice curriculum and the progress dashboard require a subscription, and a two-week free trial of full access is included. AI AND PRIVACY Sara uses AI to listen to your child and to detect speech errors to provide feedback. We keep AI usage as limited and as safe as we can. • COPPA compliant • No third-party ads • You control your child's data and what is shared Sara provides educational articulation practice and real-time feedback for skill development. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. CONTACT Questions or feature requests: [email protected]
