About Spelling Assist

Spelling Assist was born out of a simple frustration: every week, my daughter's school sends home a spelling list — in English and Chinese — that she's tested on at school. Every spelling app I tried made me retype that list by hand. So I built one where you just take a photo of the list and the words go straight in, ready to practice. Spelling Assist helps children practice for their school spelling tests in both English and Chinese. Snap a photo of your child's school spelling list to add words instantly, create custom lists, listen to words spoken aloud, and practice in a distraction-free, kid-friendly interface.

A new look — and a new way to tell us what you think. • Fresh colours throughout: soft mint for English spelling, soft pink for 听写, with a matching new app icon. • Word lists and list badges redrawn in the new palette, with every colour pairing checked for readability. • A new grown-ups area, tucked behind a simple parental gate — rate the app, send feedback, visit our website, or read the privacy policy, all without leaving the app. As always, everything stays on your device: no accounts, no tracking, no ads.
