About InsuCalc: Carbs, Fats & Bolus

Calculate your bolus with the precision your type 1 diabetes deserves. InsuCalc converts carbs, fats, and proteins into equivalent exchanges and gives you the exact split between initial bolus and extended bolus, plus the total absorption time. Especially designed for high-fat meals (pizza, burgers, aged cheese) where a single bolus falls short. THE METHOD InsuCalc is based on the dual-bolus method developed by the Pediatric Diabetes Service of the Hospital General Universitario de Alicante. It is not a medical device: it is an informational calculator that respects your clinical judgment and your medical team's. FOR COMPLEX MEALS A pizza is not just carbohydrates. Fat and protein delay absorption and require splitting the bolus over time. InsuCalc automatically calculates: - Equivalent carbohydrate exchanges - Percentage of the initial bolus (when you start eating) - Percentage of the extended bolus - Total absorption time FOOD SEARCH AND BARCODE SCANNER (Premium) Search foods by name or scan the barcode of any packaged product. Nutritional values fill in automatically in the calculator — no need to type everything by hand. DESIGNED FOR T1D - Customizable food categories - History of saved meals - Light and dark mode - VoiceOver and Dynamic Type - Sign in with Apple PRIVACY Your data is yours. Authentication is with Apple (no emails or passwords to remember). IMPORTANT NOTICE InsuCalc is an informational tool. It does NOT calculate or display insulin units. It does NOT replace the judgment of your medical team, diabetes education, or approved medical devices. Decisions about your treatment should always be made with your endocrinologist or diabetes educator. If you have any questions, consult a healthcare professional. InsuCalc was born from real experience with type 1 diabetes and is designed for people who already know how to count exchanges and want to fine-tune the bolus split for complex meals. Download InsuCalc and make dual-bolus the easy part of your day. Terms of use: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
