About Civic Politics

Civic puts your government in the palm of your hand. Find your elected representatives with their contact information, offices, and districts on an interactive map covering all 50 states. Based on your location, Civic will calculate who your representatives are (federal, state, and local rolling out city by city). Follow the legislation that affects you on the Bills page: browse and search bills from Congress and state legislatures, see who's sponsoring them, filter to bills sponsored by your own representatives, and react to the ones you care about. DISCLAIMER: This app is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or representing any government entity. Civic is an independent platform designed to help citizens engage with their elected officials using publicly available information. DATA SOURCES: All government information in Civic comes from official government sources. Federal representatives and bills: congress.gov, house.gov, senate.gov, whitehouse.gov. State representatives and officials: each state's official legislature and executive-branch websites (e.g., nysenate.gov, assembly.ca.gov, capitol.texas.gov, house.mi.gov, ilga.gov). City officials: official city government websites (e.g., nyc.gov, lacity.gov, chicago.gov, houstontx.gov, phoenix.gov). District maps: the U.S. Census Bureau (census.gov) and the city governments above. What’s new

Version 1.6 · Updated October 22, 2026

• Issue quizzes: answer eight questions on housing or gun policy and see where you stand. • Your result lists your representatives and the candidates on your ballot who have spoken to the same questions, quoted from their own site or questionnaire. • A match on the candidate page, such as "72% on housing", when a candidate has stated at least three answers. Tap it for the question-by-question comparison. • Challenge a friend: share your result, they take the same quiz, and you both see how your views compare. • My Views: every quiz you've taken, on its own page and on your profile. Members can take the next issue and see how their views change over time. • Follow a representative with the bell on their card to hear about their bills, offices and elections. • 2026 Redistricting: the new House maps in the nine states that redrew, and a competitiveness view of every district. • Los Angeles ballot, vote centers, and drop boxes. • Group Think: suggest features and vote other people's ideas up or down. • Judicial ratings explain themselves when you tap them.
