adus.fyi

adus.fyi helps California homeowners plan an ADU. You can start by checking what fits on your lot, then keep using it to track permits, plans, and contractors once you're building. LOOK UP YOUR PROPERTY Type in your address and we'll pull up your parcel on a map. You'll see your lot lines, the buildings already there, your setbacks, and roughly how much room you have to build. PICK YOUR ADU TYPE Choose detached, attached, garage conversion, or junior ADU. Each type has a short explanation of the rules, based on the state's HCD guidance. Then set the size, bedrooms, bathrooms, and number of stories. KEEP THE PROJECT ORGANIZED An ADU comes with a lot of paperwork. Each project gets its own space for: • Tasks, with due dates, priorities, tags, and lists • Floor plans, with every revision saved • Documents like permits, quotes, and contracts • Progress photos You can attach a plan, document, photo, or link to a task so it's right there when you need it. SEE WHAT OTHER HOMEOWNERS BUILT The Discover feed shows real ADU projects from people near you, with photos and floor plans. Ask questions, post updates on your own build, and save posts to come back to later.
