What’s new

Version 2.3 · Updated October 15, 2026

Know your pressings. Every record now keeps two years: the year the album came out and the year your copy was pressed. Decades, era stats, smart shelves, and Year in Music all use the release year, so a new repress of a 1973 album finally counts as a seventies record. Existing records get their release years filled in from Discogs, and you can resolve them all at once from Insights. Pick the right pressing. When a barcode matches more than one release, choose the one in your hands, with year, country, label, and catalogue number side by side. Search results show the same details, and adding from search now asks before it adds. Grade like a collector. Media and sleeve grades on the Goldmine scale replace the old condition field. Your media grade sets the record's value when Discogs has sales history for it. Track what you paid. Add a purchase price to any record and Insights shows what you have spent by year, what the shelf is worth now, and your best buys. Originals and represses. A new Insights card and a new Year in Music page show how much of your collection is original pressings and the oldest pressing you own. Duplicates that understand pressings. Adding another pressing of an album you own is a normal add. Only the exact same release gets the warning. Also in this update: - Every add confirms with a message and a one tap Undo - Sort your collection by pressing year - Tap a decade in Insights to open it as a shelf - Year in Music shows your real peak listening month and the year reads correctly - A Done button on number keyboards and clearer year validation - The edit screen matches the rest of the app - Consistent price formatting everywhere
