Kōlab: Photography Community

Kōlab is a photography app built on one idea: your best shots come from practice and feedback, alongside other photographers who care as much as you do. Find a Mission, add your shot and see what other photographers made of the same brief. Then put it on your story and show everyone how you got it! • NEW: STORIES Kōlab cameras Shoot through a Compact, Film, Rangefinder, Medium format and more. Turn the dials to set up the shot in Pro mode, or leave it on auto. Your story Put your shots on your story in a Film strip, Instant print or Contact sheet, add a Look and some texture, and tag the Mission you shot it for. Ask Can't choose between two shots? Ask which one. Not sure about the crop? Ask for crop suggestions. Want honest feedback? Add a Feedback sticker and the answers come to you only. Reshare Put any post on your story, with credit to the photographer, or send your story straight to Instagram. • HOW IT WORKS Missions A new brief every week, built around a technique, challenge or event. Follow the ones you like the look of, add a shot when you've got it ready. Comment suggestions Kōlab looks at every shot and suggests specific things another photographer could say about it, rather than "nice shot"! Edit Reveal Put the unedited image next to the finished shot. Drag the slider and show every creative decision that got made on the way. Milestones Collect cards for what you do: Missions finished, personal records like your fastest shutter speed, your first shot in a new genre, and a few secret cards to find. Something back about your own work Open the app and you might discover something new about your photography: your fastest shutter speed yet, a personal best, or a shot that stands apart from everything else you've shot before. A feed built around you Kōlab's For You feed leans towards the genres and the photographers you care about, and it makes room for great shots nobody has commented on yet. Shots at full quality Upload high-resolution, uncropped, unlimited images. Your work shows up the way you meant it to. • WHAT MAKES KŌLAB DIFFERENT - Missions give you a reason to go out shooting or editing - Stories made for photographers, with cameras that teach you the dials - Private Feedback when you want honest critique - A Milestone card for every Mission, personal best and genre you shoot - Your photographs are never used to train generative AI image models - Built by photographers, for photographers • WHO IS KŌLAB FOR Photographers who want to get better, and would rather do it around people who get it.
