Nature Identifier

Curious about something you saw on a walk? Nature Identifier turns any photo into a clear, plain-English entry about the world around you. Take a photo — or pick one from your library — and our AI gives you a clean field-guide-style breakdown: what it is, where it lives, when to look for it, what it's often confused with, and a few things you probably didn't know. Plants, trees, mushrooms, mammals, birds, reptiles, insects, fish, rocks, shells, weather, even tracks and landforms — if it's outside, you can ask. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Identify almost anything in nature from a single photo • Read a clear entry: about, key features, habitat, season, role in nature, look-alikes, tips for spotting it, fun facts • Save every photo to your personal journal — automatically dated and categorized • Browse Discover to see what other people are finding • Add your own note to any photo (where you saw it, what was happening) • Share any entry with a friend with a single tap DESIGNED FOR THE OUTDOORS • Dark editorial design that's easy on the eyes in the woods • Works on plants, animals, fungi, geology, weather, and more • Built so a quick capture takes seconds — the app stays out of your way A NOTE ON AI Identifications are made by an AI model and can be wrong. Don't eat, touch, handle, or make any safety, foraging, or medical decision based on an AI identification alone — always double-check with a local expert, ranger, or trusted field guide first. Get outside. See more.
