TXT.ME – The Minimalist Social Network That Lets You Focus on What Matters Welcome to TXT.ME, a unique social platform designed for simplicity and meaningful connections. Whether you’re sharing thoughts, following people with similar interests, or chatting privately through time-limited messages, TXT.ME provides a calm, distraction-free environment to help you stay focused on what truly matters. Key Features: 1. Minimalist Design - Black & White Interface: Enjoy a sleek, monochrome layout that keeps the focus on content rather than flashy visuals or distracting colors. - Text-Only Posts: Express yourself with clear, concise updates of up to 500 characters. No emojis or colorful fonts—just pure text for a clean, clutter-free feed. - Profile Photos in B&W: Even your avatar is displayed in a refined black-and-white style, maintaining the app’s overall minimal aesthetic. 2. Interest-Based Recommendations - Tailored Content: Start by selecting at least three interests. TXT.ME will recommend users who post about these topics, making it easy to discover new voices and relevant content. - Easy Following: Follow accounts that align with your interests to see their posts and stories. Stay engaged with the subjects you care about, without unnecessary noise. 3. No Unwanted Notifications - Peaceful Browsing: We believe in empowering you to interact on your own terms. You won’t get pop-ups or alerts that pull you away from your day. - Activity Log: All important actions—likes, new comments, follows—are recorded in your personal Activity section, so you can review them whenever you’re ready. 4. Weeklies – Private Chats That Expire - Mutual Following Required: To keep your inbox spam-free, you can only start a private conversation with someone who follows you back. - Seven-Day Lifespan: These direct messages (Weeklies) automatically disappear after seven days. Focus on genuine connections without clutter lingering in your inbox. - Privacy & Mutual Respect: If someone doesn’t follow you back, they won’t see your message. We believe in fostering a space where interactions are both welcome and meaningful. 5. Stories in Black & White - Text, Images, or Videos: While posts are text-only, stories let you share images or videos. You can choose a story that expires after 24 hours or stays visible until you decide to remove it. - Monochrome Consistency: To preserve TXT.ME’s minimal look, stories are displayed in a simple black-and-white style, ensuring your media complements your text. 6. Minimal Distractions, Maximum Clarity - No Emoji Overload: By restricting emojis, we encourage thoughtful text that’s easier and faster to read. - No Random Messages: You’ll never be bothered by strangers since private messaging is only possible between mutually following users. - Focus on Content: A limited character count (500 for posts, 200 for comments) inspires shorter, more powerful content that is quick to consume and respond to. 7. Upvote/Downvote System - Community Feedback: Show your appreciation or disagreement by giving “+” or “–” to posts and comments. - Engagement Insight: Authors can see how the community feels about their content, helping everyone maintain engaging, relevant discussions.
