About Lal Vakhs
A catalog of Lal Vakhs from Lal Ded, saint poetess of Kashmir. The vakhs are compiled by Sham S. Misri in his book Lal Ded of Kashmir - A Saint poetess. The app is created by Misri Library and the author Sham Misri and is intended to preserve Kashmiri culture and bring awareness of the vakhs amongst the people. The app requires internet access to load content from YouTube, to open the forms for feedback and to open the external link to author's other books at Amazon. This version of app streams the corresponding Lal Vakhs from Misri Library Channel on YouTube whenever available, if the user clicks on Video icon. The video does not play by default.

What’s new
Version 2.0.71 · Updated September 5, 2026
Fixed: the expanded explanation shown when you tap a festival was displaying times in UTC instead of your local time zone, which could make a festival's timing look several hours off from what was shown right above it. Fixed: the Smarta Janmashtami date now follows the classical rule more precisely, correcting the 2021 date from August 29 to August 30 to match published Panchang references. Export → Share import link / QR now has a "with date of birth" option alongside "no date of birth," so someone importing your shared birthdays can get an entry that recomputes correctly for any year. The share sheet now also tells you which option you picked before you send it. Thank you for using Lal Vakhs!
