About Freequency — Tinnitus Platform
Tinnitus on your terms. Experience the first Augmented Reality game designed specifically for people with tinnitus. Freequency combines science, technology, and gameplay in one app to help you gain more control over your tinnitus. As the very first app to apply mirror therapy and exposure techniques within an Augmented Reality environment, Freequency gives you a new way to localize the sound of your tinnitus and gradually move it into the background, without medical devices or expensive treatments. What is tinnitus, and how does Freequency help? Tinnitus results from a neurological process in which your brain generates sounds without an external source. By training your brain in a playful way, you can learn to reduce the impact of tinnitus and find better balance in your daily life. Why choose Freequency? • Designed by experts: Developed in collaboration with professionals such as Tricia Scaglione, AuD, MBA and Dr. Steven C. Hayes. • Guided 100-day program: An introduction and five phases with more than 80 videos, articles, and exercises that open up day by day as you practice. • Science-based: Built on proven methods and techniques. • Easy to use: Simple, clear, and made for daily use. Two ways to practice: • Catch the Tone: Find the birds carrying your tinnitus tone in your own room with Augmented Reality and spatial audio, then catch them one by one. • Soundscape: Sit back while your tone gently drifts from ear to ear. A calm session for days when you want to take it easy. What's inside: • Tone matcher: Match your tinnitus with eleven waveforms and noise colors, including white, pink, and brown noise, and mix several tones at once. • Hearing test: Screen your hearing per ear and keep your audiograms in the app (in selected regions). • Insights: A weekly Freequency score from 0 to 100, eight cards that compare sleep, practice, mood, and more with your own average, and a look back at every session. • Lifestyle check-in: Log how you slept, ate, and spent your day, and see how it lines up with your tinnitus. • Streaks and statistics: Track your practice days and minutes. • Search: Find any video, article, or tone in seconds. • Apple Watch and widgets: Your score, streak, and running session on your wrist, Home Screen, Lock Screen, and in Control Center. • Siri and Shortcuts: Ask for your score or streak, or jump straight into practice. • Community: Articles and updates from the experts behind Freequency. • Personal touches: Your own avatar, app icons, reminders, subtitled videos, and iCloud sync across your devices. What can Freequency do for you? • Reduce the impact of tinnitus. • Improve focus and reduce stress. • Train your brain to filter tinnitus into the background. • Increase calm, balance, and quality of life. Try Freequency today! Take the first step toward greater control over your tinnitus. Practice at your own pace, with an approach that fits into your daily routine. Subscriptions, availability, and functionality: A subscription is required for the full experience, including personalized exercises, AR features, and detailed progress insights. Free users have access to the Tone Matcher and introductory content to explore Freequency. Some features are only available in certain regions. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before the end of the current billing period. To try Freequency risk-free, we offer a free trial. More information is available within the app. Freequency is designed to support people with tinnitus in managing their symptoms, but it does not replace professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The Freequency score and hearing test are personal tools, not medical assessments. If you have questions or concerns about tinnitus or your health, always consult a physician or audiologist. Use of Freequency and the information provided in the app is at your own risk. License terms: https://apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
What’s new
Version 4.2 · Updated October 15, 2026
Time to unfold your potential, we've added support for the iPhone Duo. This update is all about seeing your progress clearly! Journal is now Insights, and it opens with your Freequency score: one number from 0 to 100 that sums up your past week based on your discomfort, practice and check-ins. Eight cards show how your week compares with what's typical for you, and a tap reveals a day-by-day view plus how often each check-in tag came up. We've also refreshed the articles and videos across the program and smoothed out a few rough edges. Let us know how it feels.
