Hollows of Rogue is a turn-based dungeon crawl in the spirit of the 1980 original: tactical exploration, scarce resources and permadeath – rebuilt with modern comforts, crisp pixel art and a hero who has opinions. Persistent dungeon – levels stay as you left them during a run A dungeon that gets weirder the deeper you go – acid, lava, ice, rubble and grass rooms, mazes, treasure rooms packed with monsters, a scrying mirror, shop and more A hero who talks – reactions to monsters, loot, close calls and level ups pop above his head Readable combat – a combat log with every attack and defense roll (detailed breakdown optional) Magic with consequences – polymorph a dragon into… something; drain a whole room of life (and half of yours) Run records – depth, kills, gold found and turns per run, personal bests and lifetime stats Your rules – adjustable difficulty options, seeded runs, optional hunger clock, undo Your look – tiles by Oryx, classic ASCII mode or high-contrast display Tiles by Oryx. **Many large and small features, tweaks and updates!** **Fast mode** is now instant to the destination, up to the point where the movement would be interrupted/stopped otherwise (monster/obstacle/dungeon path/door/..) **Re/added the hunger** default off, can be turned on in Settings before starting new game 3x the final score, but it's really hard **Minimap** **Visuals** - Monsters, dungeon objects and dungeon itself received many subtle and not so subtle visual updates - Combat rolls hits/damages/misses, status effects, modifier values hp/xp/stats, etc. of monsters and player are displayed near them - Player's avatar comments on things - simplified combat log, reenable detailed rolls in settings, default off - in menus there is also an icon next to each item based on its type **Many small tweaks and updates** - scroll of sleep doesn't put player to sleep if its effect affects at least one monster - more stats added to final screen - exploring/seen the entire level now grants small experience - eating food rations doesn't grant experience /it still heals few HP/ - many fixes and updates for level generation
