Ment Inc.

Ment streamlines mentor-mentee connections through a personalized search and an in-app communication channel. Available to academic institutions on a subscription basis, their members can use the app for free to connect with fellow students, alumni, and faculty. We create a space for communities to participate in casual conversations, allowing for easily accessible mentorship that leads to efficient, customized career guidance and enlightened professional choices. STREAMLINING MENTORSHIP MODELS Ment modernizes mentorship models by providing automated systems and streamlined communication for mentors and mentees. Currently available to academic institutions, the app enhances traditional mentorship by making it more efficient and accessible. SIGN UP Organizations, such as academic faculties, must subscribe on behalf of their members. Members can then sign up and use the app for free with their affiliated email address. MENTORSHIP ROLE Ment allows users to participate as mentors, mentees, or both, fostering a mutually beneficial experience and providing added value for all participants. USER PROFILES To enter Ment, users must create a profile that indicates their interests, including relevant disciplines, fields, specializations, and keywords. These specifications appear on their profiles as "interest tags" and contribute to the personalized search's page rank. Users can also add a profile picture, bio, education, and experiences to represent themselves fully. PERSONALIZED SEARCH Ment employs a personalized ranking to tailor search results according to users' selected interests. This refinement enhances mentor and mentee recommendations, ensuring suitable mentorship through customized guidance. CONNECTION REQUESTS Users can send requests to individuals of interest, asking to become their mentor or mentee. IN-APP COMMUNICATION Once connected, users can engage in casual conversations with their mentors and mentees through the in-app communication channel. This feature simplifies interaction and ensures continuous, effective communication.
