Wafir — Group Savings

Wafir brings the jam'iya — the group savings circle Qatari households have run for generations — into one clear digital journey. You join a circle. You contribute a fixed amount each month. On your agreed turn, you receive the circle payout. When the last member has received, the circle is complete. HOW A CIRCLE WORKS Six members. QAR 1,500 each month. A circle valued at QAR 9,000. Each month, five members contribute QAR 1,500, creating a payout of QAR 7,500. When your turn arrives you receive QAR 7,500 and do not make your contribution that month. Across the full cycle you contribute QAR 7,500 and you receive QAR 7,500. No interest is charged at any stage. Wafir charges a clearly disclosed subscription fee for facilitating and administering the circle, shown before you confirm. BEFORE YOU JOIN • Live eKYC verifies your identity • Your income is reviewed and an approved monthly limit is set for you • You browse the Circle List and compare available circles • You choose a payout date that fits your goal and your approved tier • You sign the Circle Participation Agreement, so the terms and obligations are clear before the circle begins WHERE YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS ARE HELD Monthly contributions are held in a segregated escrow account with a licensed Qatari bank, separate from Wafir's operational funds and used only for circle payouts under the agreed legal, contractual and banking structure. EVERY MONTH A reminder before your contribution is due. You pay in the app and the transaction is recorded. Your circle status and payout schedule stay visible. If a payment is late, Wafir follows up through the system — members do not chase one another. IF A PAYMENT IS LATE We do not promise that delays can never happen. We show you what happens if they do. At least three reminders are sent and a settlement deadline applies. Continued non-payment can lead to formal recovery steps under your signed agreement and applicable law. The same documented process applies to every member. IF A MEMBER GENUINELY CANNOT CONTINUE A documented force-majeure event — death, loss of employment, severe illness — is reviewed separately. If accepted, the circle may be restructured and the unpaid amount allocated pro rata across the remaining members. Every adjustment is communicated before the circle continues. YOUR RECORD On-time contributions are reflected in your Qatar Credit Bureau record. Late payments may have the opposite effect. If you believe an entry is incorrect, you can raise a dispute in the app. WHO IT'S FOR Young professionals across Qatar, Qataris and residents — saving for a home, education, a wedding, travel, professional development, or a planned family expense. Wafir operates within the Qatar Central Bank FinTech Regulatory Sandbox Wafir does not provide loans or credit facilities. It facilitates and administers group savings circles between members and charges a disclosed fee for that service.
