Aid.me Hearing turns the speech around you into live captions. It's like closed captioning for your life. If you have trouble following a conversation, set your iPhone or iPad on the table, tap the microphone, and read what people are saying in large, high-contrast text as they speak. Within about 6 feet works best. 2. Tap the microphone and allow microphone and speech recognition access. 3. Read the captions as they appear. Tap the microphone again to stop. Aid.me Hearing uses Apple's speech recognition, so accuracy depends on background noise, distance, and how clearly people speak. It is a communication aid, not a medical device, and it does not replace a hearing aid or professional captioning.
