The application displays a small prayer for every hour. The app widget is the current prayer of the hour. The prayer of John Chrysostom, which contains 24 small prayers according to the number of hours in a day, is the 7th prayer of the evening rule recommended for daily performance by Orthodox Christians. *** "The purpose of short prayers is to promote the gathering of thoughts and sobriety. The power is not in words, but in feeling for God. It will soon be formed among those working on prayer. This is the smart prayer. The mind, standing in the heart, sees God and intelligently confesses to Him by invoking Him... Feeling for God is unceasing prayer without words."
