Math the epic way! Every great adventure starts with a single step. In Math Legacy that step is a number, and from there a journey begins that takes you from 4th to 8th grade: chapter after chapter, all the way to the Pythagorean theorem and equations. THE JOURNEY, GRADE BY GRADE 4th grade: large numbers, operations and their properties, decimals, fractions, units of measure, polygons and perimeter, surveys and charts. 5th grade: numbers beyond a million, powers, operations with decimals, fractions, percentages, area of polygons, the circle, geometric transformations, probability and statistics. 6th grade: sets, whole numbers and decimals, basic geometry, angles, expressions, parallel and perpendicular lines, powers, divisibility rules, prime numbers, GCD and LCM, polygons, triangles, fractions. 7th grade: fractions and decimals, rounding, square roots, irrational numbers, ratios and proportions, percentages, direct and inverse proportion, statistics and probability, quadrilaterals, isometries, areas, the Pythagorean theorem, circles, similarity, Euclid's theorems. 8th grade: integers, algebraic expressions, monomials and polynomials, special products, linear equations, the coordinate plane, polyhedra and solids of revolution.
