About Traction Mobile
Introducing Traction Mobile, the ultimate farm tool for seamless accounting and field task management. Prior to this phone app, managing your connected machine field tasks and entering payment transactions required the web application, but now you can streamline your workflow and stay connected on the go. Field Task Management Features: * Verify tillage, planting, spraying, and harvest records pulled from your connected equipment. * Approve, edit, or delete machine tasks to clean up your data fast. * Import field activity records directly—no manual entry needed. * Manage tasks from your phone or tablet, even when you’re not at your desk. Accounting Features: * Monitor real-time account balances across all your banks and credit cards. * Record payments with full detail or as quick entries, depending on workflow needs. * Attach receipt images directly to transactions via mobile capture for streamlined audit support. * See a recent list of all your transactions across all accounts. Traction Mobile connects directly with John Deere Operations Center and Climate FieldView™, making it easy to pull in your field data. And we're just getting started—more integrations are coming soon. Get started with Traction Mobile and revolutionize how you manage your field tasks.
What’s new
Version 2.2.3 · Updated October 22, 2026
What's new in 2.2.3 Field Records • Search the Field Records list by field, crop, or product, and filter by date (Today, last 7 or 30 days, or a custom range) • Search opens from a chip at the start of the filter row and stays applied while you open or edit a record • An "Auto" badge marks every value a new record fills in or calculates for you • Record detail shows "unit unavailable" instead of a blank or a code when a unit can't be shown Harvest • Net Wet and Final Dry calculate from scale weights, moisture, FM, target moisture, and shrink, matching Traction web • Target moisture and shrink default from the destination, then the harvest product, then the commodity standard • Yields display in the crop's current harvest unit, and new test weights default to pounds • Loads with a landowner quantity show a "My Stored Qty" hint • Multi-zone harvests show which zones still need a load • A load's photo shows as a thumbnail while editing and on the record detail screen Sync and sign-in • More reliable sync: one bad server record no longer stops everything else from syncing • Clearer messages when a sync fails, a record is rejected, or the app needs an update • Unsynced edits stay on the device if you lose permission to upload them • Losing access to a business shows why and keeps your unsynced changes until you choose what to do • A network failure at launch no longer shows "No Business Access" Fixes • Saving with an empty product Qty or Area no longer stores an oversized quantity • Units load after a slow connection at sign-in, and retry when the device reconnects • Field Records refresh correctly after switching to a business with a different latest crop year
