We Spot Turtles!

We Spot Turtles! Let's protect sea turtles together! We Spot Turtles! is a free citizen science app that turns every beach walk into a chance to help save sea turtles. Log what you see, a turtle at sea, a fresh nest, a track in the sand, hatchlings racing to the waves, and your observation joins a global conservation dataset. Built for the field: - Works fully offline: photos, GPS and notes captured even without signal, synced when you're back online. - GPS coordinates are encrypted before upload : never stored in plain text, never shared publicly, to keep nesting sites safe from poachers. - 7 sea turtle species to identify, sorted by real-world abundance in your area. What you can record: - Live turtle sightings (species, behaviour, size, tag, injuries, feeding). - Nesting activity: tracks, nests, and full excavation data for scientists. - Hatchling emergences and predator presence. Discover and learn: - Illustrated profiles for all 7 sea turtle species, accessible even without an account. - IUCN conservation status, habitats, diet, population trends. - Available in English, French, Spanish and Reo Tahiti. For scientists too: - A validated scientist account unlocks detailed excavation fields and technical data entry. 100% free. No ads. Only conservation. Download We Spot Turtles! and join a growing community of citizens and scientists protecting sea turtles, one observation at a time. The We Spot Turtles! Team
