About Unboozle, The Un-Drinking Game

Compete to cut back on drinking, either on your own or with friends. Create a challenge, track daily drinks, and experience the thrill of winning or the agony of a hangover. The goal isn’t sobriety, just less. Changing daily habits is hard, so we've turned what can be a grueling chore into a game. Whether you're on your own or competing with friends, you can still be a beer lover, a wine connoisseur, and/or someone who can't resist a good ole martini. Enjoy alcohol, but with a little less drinking and a lot more laughs. Reducing alcohol consumption can be fun. Yes, really! So get your phone. Get your non-alcoholic fruit smoothie. Get your fight on. HOW IT WORKS: The challenge creator (aka the bartender) starts a 4-12 week self or group challenge and sets the terms, including the weekly freebie allowance, the rewards, and the penalties. Everyone then logs their drinks each day and sees how much un-drinking is happening through weekly and final results. If challenges aren’t for you, the drinks tracker can be just what you need to uncover your habits and decide if your health and wallet could use some help. Unboozle doesn't handle money or enforce rewards/penalties - those areas are up to the challenge members. WHAT YOU GET: 1) Self and group challenges Go solo or invite your friends/family. Perfect for Dry January, Sober October, or any time you want to cut back. 2) Alcohol tracker Use the tracker for challenges or to keep tabs on your drinking over time. Check your 'dry day' streak and your progress week to week to see just how much willpower you’ve got - or don’t. See exactly how much you are spending each week on alcohol, for better or for worse. 3) Freebie drinks Every challenge has its own weekly ‘freebie’ allowance, set by the user who starts the challenge. Log your drinks and freebies get deducted automatically. You’re welcome. 4) Group chat In a group challenge? Communicate with your crew for both entertainment and accountability. Post the bottle of wine that made blowing past the week’s limit ‘worth it’, or cheer on a friend for choosing milk over malt liquor. 5) Weekly and final results See exactly where things stand, every week and at the end. This is a competition. 6) Notifications Logging drinks takes seconds, but it can be easy to forget. Set your own day(s) and time so the bartender’s ‘default’ drink count doesn’t sneak into your weekly total. In addition, receive a daily inspiration to bring some humor, information, and encouragement. 7) Irreverent humor This is a game, not a medical plan. We’re here to make you smile. 8) Benefits You could experience fewer pounds on your beer belly, more money in your pocket, morning clarity, rewards from challenges, overall better health, and - perhaps most important - bragging rights in your Unboozle group. Unboozle is intended for users of legal drinking age in their country of residence. If you think you have a problem with alcohol or are experiencing a medical emergency, please seek help from a qualified professional. Unboozle is not a substitute for medical care.
