About Atlante — Anatomy Atlas

Following the success of Farmacologia, CG Edizioni Medico Scientifiche and goWare return to the App Store with a new work of great authority and scientific rigor: the Atlas of Human Anatomy, with an Italian-English-Latin glossary. Curated by Professor Giorgio Palestro — Full Professor of Pathological Anatomy and Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Turin — the Atlas of Human Anatomy is an indispensable app for anyone practicing (or preparing for) a medical or surgical profession, as well as for other healthcare fields where a solid knowledge of human anatomy is essential: nurses, dentists, physical education teachers, physiotherapists, and psychologists. An app as beautiful as a Rembrandt painting (the master painted several works featuring anatomy lessons), thanks to its remarkable 600 plates. The app is divided into 14 sections organized by the different systems that make up descriptive anatomy: topographical anatomy, skin, musculoskeletal system (muscles, bones, and joints), cardiovascular, digestive, respiratory, urinary and reproductive, immune, endocrine, and nervous systems, and finally the sense organs. Alongside the anatomical illustrations — visually striking — are photographs from various imaging techniques: X-ray, CT scans, MRI, angiograms, and other diagnostic imaging that highlights the most important clinical correlations. The app also includes an extensive glossary that links back to the plates, translating each of the over 3,000 terms into English and Latin — an essential feature for anyone who needs to use this terminology correctly with international colleagues or at conferences and international meetings. You can save any plate to your favorites for immediate retrieval on your next visit, and share it via email with colleagues for discussion on specific topics. A powerful search engine lets you find a specific plate through the thousands of glossary words, even starting from a simple lexical hint. This is a crucial feature and one of the greatest added values of the app over its print counterpart.
