Deep Green 2.1.2 is made for iPhone Duo and gives the board more room everywhere. - MADE FOR IPHONE DUO: Deep Green adapts to both displays and every pose. The board keeps to the upper half in laptop pose, centers on the fold in book pose – like a folding chess board – and spans the fold when open flat. The game controls follow the system into the vertical bar. - ROOM FOR THE BOARD: The board takes all the space the bars leave it and stays centered on the screen – hide the bars, and it fills the screen. On iPad, the game controls move to a bottom toolbar in portrait, centered within reach of either thumb, instead of crowding the title. - POLISH: The Suggest Move symbol always completes a full turn, and Game List boards no longer animate into place while you scroll. Plus all the improvements in versions 2.1 and 2.1.1, listed below. Deep Green 2.1 is the biggest update in years: a refreshed design, chess files, board images, and a first-class chess board on iPad – and now iPhone Duo. - REFRESHED DESIGN: Liquid Glass and a new app icon on iOS 26 – refractive on iOS 27 – improved chess piece design in the Game List, and a modernized welcome sheet. - MADE FOR IPAD: Dedicated menu bar, multiple windows, and refined trackpad, mouse, and Apple Pencil support. Squares highlight as you hover, and tints show where a dragged piece may legally land. - CHESS FILES: Import PGN and FEN files from the Files app, by drag and drop, or via AirDrop – with Quick Look previews and thumbnails showing the actual position. - BOARD IMAGES: Copying or sharing a game or position includes an image of the board. Save it straight to Photos: it follows the orientation the board is shown with, is named after the game, and carries players, event, date, searchable keywords, and the complete game with it. - SMARTER PLAY: Pick between variations with the Step Forward button, choose the engine's search depth for Suggest Move, press and hold Undo to redo a move, take back the move that ended a game, and stalemate correctly ends the game in a draw. - IN YOUR LANGUAGE: German, UK English, and Danish localizations.
