This is the official Dictionary of the Dhivehi Language, published by the Academy of Languages, Maldives. THE WHOLE DICTIONARY, OFFLINE The complete word list ships inside the app. Search works on a plane, on a boat, on an island with no coverage — there is nothing to download after you install. Switch on reading mode to move through meanings one after another — good for study, and good for simply wandering through the language. AUDIO SERVICES Radheef Dictionary App plays audio in three ways: recorded pronunciations of dictionary words, spoken narration on information and article pages, and long-form audio recordings and lectures in the app's Library section. MEDIA PLAYBACK is used so that Library recordings and page narration continue while the screen is off or the user moves to another app, with standard play, pause and stop controls in the notification shade and on the lock screen. Playback is always started by the user tapping a play or speaker control, is shown in an ongoing media notification for as long as it runs, and stops when the user stops it or the audio ends. No audio is captured or recorded, and nothing plays without the user starting it. WORD OF THE DAY A new word each day with its meaning and background, and the days you missed are only a swipe away.
