CU Alumni

The official app for graduates of Sivas Cumhuriyet University, rewritten from scratch. It keeps you connected to the university after you graduate. NO PASSWORD We do not ask for a password. You sign in with your national ID number and your date of birth — nothing to remember. SIGN IN WITH YOUR ID CARD Instead of typing, you can read your Turkish ID card. Hold the back of the card up to the camera, then hold the card against your phone, and your ID number and date of birth fill in by themselves. The back of the card is decoded on your phone. From the chip, only your identity data and the security data that prove the card is genuine are read; they are sent to the university server for verification and are not stored. Your photo is never read. ANNOUNCEMENTS Announcements from the university and its alumni offices land in an in-app inbox. Search them, filter to unread, mark them read, or swipe to delete. NOTIFICATION CHANNELS See the announcement channels assigned to you and mute the ones you are not interested in with a single tap. Your choice sticks, and you can bring them all back whenever you like. SURVEYS AND REQUESTS Answer the surveys the university publishes. Send your wishes, requests, complaints and suggestions to the relevant unit, then track the status and read the reply on the same screen. ALUMNI PORTAL The university's alumni pages and documents open inside the app, and PDFs are read without leaving it. IF NOTIFICATIONS ARE NOT ARRIVING The "notification health" screen shows your permission state, your channel subscriptions and your device token, and explains step by step why a notification may not have reached you. SECURITY • Every request is signed end to end (HMAC-SHA256) and the server certificate is pinned. • Local data is encrypted on the device, with the key held in the Keychain. • Optional app lock (Face ID, Touch ID or passcode). • Jailbreak, debugger and tampering detection, plus a privacy overlay in the app switcher. ALSO Turkish and English. Light and dark themes. Separate layouts for iPhone and iPad. Questions and feedback: [email protected]
