About Tell the DJ

Tell the DJ is the full experience for hosts and guests. Host or join a session in the app, shape a live ranked request list, and decide what plays next. If a guest prefers not to download the app, they can open the invite in a browser, sign in to Tell the DJ, see what’s playing, and request a song. No shouting over the music. Start a session, share one QR code or link, and let the room help choose the soundtrack while you stay in control. FOR HOSTS AND DJS — PLAY IT YOUR WAY • Run the night from your phone: reorder, remove, and see what’s playing. • Play requests through Apple Music (requires your own Apple Music subscription), Shazam, or any setup you prefer. • Limit requests to certain artists, genres, or a public Spotify playlist. • Set a PIN, participant limit, start and stop times, and repeat-request rules. • Show the live request list on a TV with Chromecast. • Invite up to 3 co-hosts with Tell the DJ Pro. • Track tips, your balance, and payment history in the app. FOR GUESTS • Join in Tell the DJ for the full experience, or choose the optional browser path. • Open the invite in a browser — no app download needed if you prefer it. • Sign in to Tell the DJ, see the live queue, and request a song. • Add a message, vote for other requests, and boost the songs you want to hear. • Get a notification when your song is up next. • No music service subscription is required to request songs.
