About Emotional Aid: Anxiety Relief

Stress doesn't only live in your head. It settles in your body, and your nervous system needs a way to let it go. Emotional Aid combines neuroscience knowledge with simple body-based practices. Together they help you regulate your nervous system and bring it back into balance whenever stress knocks it off course. HYGIENE FOR YOUR NERVOUS SYSTEM Think of it like brushing your teeth before bed. A short practice clears out the stress that has built up during the day, so it doesn't stay in your body. Trauma is, at its core, stress that never left the body. Regular practice helps keep everyday stress from turning into lasting trauma. HOW IT WORKS SOS PRACTICE Tap SOS whenever you feel overwhelmed, or make it part of your evening routine. A calm audio guide leads you through 16 short body-based exercises, one after another: naming what you feel, grounding, breathing with a longer exhale, hand-on-heart self-soothing, gentle tension release and finding a safe place. A full session takes up to 15 minutes. • Eyes closed, hands free: move on or repeat with your voice ("next", "repeat"). • Short and long versions, adapted to how you feel right now. • Every exercise is also available as text. 7 VIDEO LESSONS Understand what happens inside you under stress: • the vagus nerve and how it shapes your mood and body state • how a healthy autonomic nervous system works, and how stress and trauma affect it • vagal tone and the "vagal brake" • interoception and the window of tolerance • the three zones of regulation WHO CREATED IT Emotional Aid was created by Alexey Gervash, a certified emotional first aid specialist, together with a team that has worked with anxiety and trauma since 2008.
